A bathroom floor is typically one to three days. Larger residential projects run one to two weeks. Commercial work gets phased based on square footage, access, and cure times between stages.
TCNA — the Tile Council of North America — publishes the handbook the industry uses for substrate specs, membrane requirements, mortar methods, and movement joints. We follow TCNA and ANSI A108 standards on every project.
Floor needs to be structurally sound, flat within 1/8 inch over 10 feet, free of dust or adhesive residue. Concrete gets a moisture test. Plywood gets backer board or uncoupling membrane. Cracks get isolation membrane so they don’t telegraph through finished tile.
